Have you been thinking about Christmas gift giving, making lists and checking them twice?  How about gifts for the special people in your life ~ a friend, a neighbor, your mailman, your hair stylist, your Pastor….or even Santa?

Create this homespun gift…….. a handmade gift house box filled with homemade cookies or cupcakes!  Handmade, Homemade and Heartfelt ♥♥♥

Sweet Christmas Goodness

This simple…but big-hearted gift is created with a paper mache gift house, a wood tag, a little paint, a few pencils, ribbon and twine, lots of imagination….ohhhh, and sweets too!

The paper mache gift houses can be found at Hobby Lobby (or I have a few in my stash ~ 3 1/2 x 6 1/4 x 3 5/8~ $3.00 each ~  email classicamyjoanne@gmail.com)…They are the perfect size for a stack of cookies or a single cupcake…. make mine red velvet please!

The gift houses are painted with DecoArt Forest Green, then drybrushed Arbor Green, then Shale Green to give it that time-worn chalkboard look…… gosh I love that!

Then ~ this is where your imagination comes in ~ grab a ruler and your colored pencils and create doors, windows, cookies, trees, candy canes, shrubs…..and a simple message on the roof….personalize for the recipient.

Tuck baked goods inside nestled in tissue paper, tie it up with ribbon, and add a gift tag….a Homespun Gift with a Little Sweetness!

A simpler version would be to add a gift tag to a stack of sweetness, tie it up with baker’s twine….of course.  The tags could be prepared ahead of time and you will have a quick gift for giving or for an unexpected visitor…..

A Gift for You

Simply click below and print these sweet tags onto white card stock ~ the sweet tags are a designed gift from my heart to yours….. ♥♥♥

Once printed ~ cut-out and add a quick message to the backside, punch a hole in the top and pull twine or ribbon thru…..it would be fun to adhere a patterned scrapbooking paper to the backside with DecoArt Decoupage, as well….see below.

Makes a super fun quick heartfelt gift!

I couldn’t resist taking photos of this homespun gift idea…..I found the perfect color sprinkles thru Wilton at Michaels and one of my favorite ladies from ‘Sweet Treats’ baked the red velvet cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies….Thanks Linda!

All the colors worked perfectly together…..
