Social Media Happenings

June 28

Another weekend in the books….this is what we were up to…how ’bout you?

We shopped for paint, house paint that is. Getting ready to re-work the dining room and create a sewing area in the Studio. The Associate at our Sherwin Williams said Jerry and I were a cute ‘funny’ couple….ah, good salesman 🙂. We should take our comedy routine on the road, lol!

In the Dining Room, as part of my continuous organizing-the-house project ~ I worked on the top half of the hutch.

My hubby Jerry typically makes his own snack mix each week to take along to work….we found a jar that was perfect for the mix (it held ribbon) and now it is easy and on hand! Baggy Up!

I also have been working on creating a ‘house’ box design with Cricut for an upcoming project – Gingerbread Countdown….it isn’t easy for me, I just want to know how to do something …..learning by reading or video does not come easy ….you can see it is taped and wonky….but I am getting there!

and at ‘work’ I played a little with shop (well, store) displays…Farmhouse dinner table and fixin’s. It’s been dubbed the DG Boutique 😉

Creative Kindness

Sharing one of the best products I use to create with ~ and has the best sticking power …..DecoArt Decoupage from DecoArt Inc.

I have used DecoArt Decoupage to attach watercolor paper to wood surfaces to create unique colored pencil designs over acrylic. These pieces have been shipped, carried, used for demo and lived thru attic life. Each have never bubbled, buckled, shifted or detached. It is a product I am proud to recommend and use.

I have also used it to attach scrapbooking paper to the inside of bentwood boxes, tin containers and even dresser drawers.

DecoArt Decoupage will also be used in our next Zoom project thru Artful Webinars ~ ‘Creative Christmas Keepsake Journal’ !Read all about lining a bentwood box here
