While searching for candle holders for our growing Candle Business (purchase candles here) ~ this ceramic jar was a perfect find ~ similar to a vintage marmalade jar (shown below), it has the same classic style.

Not to mention it fit into the aesthetic of our Classic Candles.

This jar can also be up-cycled and used for storing smalls, even creating a new label for the contents….or why not take it a step further and create a label perfect for gift giving ~ a label that resembles a vintage marmalade jar.

Since it is Christmas Time ~ this jar and new label will be perfect for our pretty wrapped chocolate marshmallow fudge!

This recipe makes for a sweet gift to tuck inside the jars.

  • 1 1/4 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • continue to stir constantly at medium heat, scrape the bottom and sides of pan while stirring.

  • pour the hot mixture into the bowl with the other ingredients, then use an electric mixer to gently combine all ingredients until smooth, then pour into 9 x 13" pan.
  • Chill in refrigerator. Once chilled, pull the tinfoil 'fudge slab' from the pan. Cut into small squares or bricks for gift giving.
  • fudge can be wrapped and stored in the refrigerator. Fudge can also be frozen for up to 3 months.

A similar food safe Christmas wrapper for the fudge can be found (here).

Then simply wrap it up with baker’s twine (found here) and fill your jars.
