I enjoy making my house a home as much as I enjoy painting and penciling. It is much like creating art to me. I place vignettes here and there with everyday items thru-out my home, arranging and re-arranging until I am satisfied. I don’t play by the rules or follow a guideline, but use what I like (or find on Pinterest!).
I like to think my home is ‘Cottage Style with a bit of Vintage’….if I had to place a name to it. A bit of homemade, a bit of vintage, and a bit of memory makers.
When Christmas is upon us I like to add Holiday touches to the everyday.
Aluminum candy canes in a vintage sour cream jar
Vintage syrup pitchers with a simple snow scene
An elf from my childhood….to cherish and remember
A hand embroidered table runner from my husbands grandmother, for us
Santa salt and pepper shakers….just because
A vintage scale with sweet treats
a sweet set of ornaments made by my grandmother…Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus
Even the scarf tossed onto my shoulders on a cold day…hand knitted by my beautiful Mom
There is beauty in the everyday….bits of memories from the past
May we never forget the reason to celebrate
The birth of our Savior…Jesus
