If you have been following my Artful Journey on Facebook (if not, would love your friendship request), you most likely have seen a few posts about ‘Havtahavs’ within the last few months. This is a collection I created, hoping folks will ‘Have to Have’ the pieces….Creative Vintage Finds describes the collection best.
The pieces are vintage finds – repurposed, designed and created by my hands.

These ‘Havtahavs’ were introduced at a local antique shop, Tink’s Antiques in my hometown, Tamaqua Pa….there are a few creative friends that create for Tink’s, we call ourselves the Tinkers, (Trina, Heather, Shelly, Jen, Sue, Cindy, and Cheryl). I will be sure to post about Tink’s and the Tinkers in a later post….

The first ‘Havtahavs’ were created with reclaimed wood and plaster slats for framing along with electrical tabs…..the collection included Santa, Rudolph, the Manger, a Cake, a Red Truck, a Snowman and others….

The next ‘Havtahav’ was created with an upholstery spring and my imagination to create a seasonal bobble head….This is Mr Snowman Bobble.

I have also created ‘It Takes a Village’ from reclaimed wood, chalk paint and German glass glitter

Each piece having a vintage homespun feel.
With my love of vintage, painting and shop keeping…..I took on this opportunity when asked by Jody of Tink’s Antiques and it has been an amazing journey with wonderful friendships made……
New ‘Havtahavs’ are coming this Spring, follow me on Facebook to share the journey. I’m thinking chickens, roosters and bunnies….
You are only limited to your imagination…..be creative with vintage finds.
