Autumn is finally, finally, finally here! No mistake….I love this season for the colors, the warm clothing, for wearing socks, sipping cocoa, casseroles in the oven and watching 80’s movies curled up on the sofa with an afgan….

This weekend our front stoop has been transformed….

We also added small touches of Autumn to the inside, not to overdone…simplified.
Do you remember the pom-pom garland from last year?, it has a new home on the mantel…..making the old look new again, just by a simple move.
The fireplace mantel and surround was build by my hubby…..it is almost finished and I will share our steps to create it! Saving up for the perfect hardware and insert…..

As you know, I am a huge Miss Mustard Seed fan and a few posts ago she created a vignette with a glass cloche and a milk can lid turned upside down……and then I was on the hunt for the perfectly rusted lid.
I found one at my favorite antique shop, Tink’s Antiques , in Tamaqua PA.
I sanded it a little, added a touch of green and antiqued….then created the vignette with pumpkins from Jack and Lisa Shafer’s Pumpkin Farm.

Is that not brilliant…..

Do you see the cute broom in the photo? It was also a find at Tink’s Antiques….sometimes picking up the little things for a dollar or two can become part of a pretty, unique and inexpensive vignette…..

So who is on the hunt for a milk can lid?
Happy Autumn
