One would think as a full-time Artist that it is all brushes, paints and creative fun……but there is a lot of background ‘stuff’ that needs to be taken care of too.  So when I finally get to play with my brushes, paint, pencils and my creative thoughts ~ it still is a treat and I enjoy every moment I can escape.

For me…..I need a clear mind that everything is taken care of before I can truly play, relax and enjoy creating.  This piece ‘Blue Autumn’ was one of the first pieces I actually spent creating for enjoyment….it was not hurried ~ created not to entertain but to enjoy the process.

When I finally relaxed and realized this myself…….I enjoyed the process even more.

Lovin’ this basket tray from Antique Farmhouse, it creates a homespun feel by adding  plaid material as trim and the basket itself adds texture.  The piece could be used for serving your guests or displayed on a wall or even a centerpiece to your table setting.  My friend Sheila Landry cut the ‘wood insert’ surface ~ making it a unique creative surface.

Have your own basket tray and need an insert?  Contact Sheila thru www.tolepaintingdesigns.com ~ she will be happy to provide!

Living in a tiny cottage, a useful item is a must, decorative is a bonus!
