The ‘everyday‘ in our home, are collections of things we love from ironstone bowls, to heirloom pieces, to iron candlestick holders, to Jerry’s guitar, to folded afgans…..at Christmas time, we simply tuck in a few little ‘holiday touches’ from vintage, to heirlooms, to hand-crafted.
We’ve been sharing our ‘Holiday Touches‘ here on the Blog since 2014 ~ oh my gosh 9 years! Click (here) to view our Christmas decor from year to year, keeping the comforts of ‘everyday’ while adding Christmas charm.

One of my favorite places to add a vignette and change as each season approaches ~ is aside of the fireplace.
Each piece added is a reminder of friends and family, exciting adventures taken and fun places we visited.
Collected over time ~ Vintage, Hand-Crafted and Heirlooms.
even adding chickens for a little whimsy.
and the Reason for the Season.
The fireplace mantel ~ simple and pretty.
In The Studio
A few placed decorations around the Studio ~ how could you not love the “pom-pom-trim-made-snowball-garland”, added year after year.
and the “dressed-in-holiday-style” mannequin too.
a hard-working studio it is.
Making a few changes to our dining room this year, with a few more DIY’s to come…. our tree is tucked perfectly into an empty corner, …..and we love it.
A hand-quilted tree skirt from my Mom and handmade sequins ornaments from my Mother-in-law adorn the tree….along with a tree topper from our very first Christmas 34 years ago.
This year adding gold ornaments, beads and flickering candles.
and the ceramic tree my Mom made many years ago…..
simply placed, a pair of mittens and stockings….a keeper for Winter.
a little collected vintage, a few keepsake heirlooms, a bit of the everyday with added Christmas charm.
