The Left Wing Studio Tour

I’ve been dil-dallyin’ around this Post for a while now.

My dil-dally was mostly about wanting to share a perfectly polished space ~ with every dream project completed, but realizing, most likely that day will never come ~ this creative space will always be in constant change….and perfectly imperfect.

here is The ‘left wing’ Studio Tour….Enjoy.

Every single piece of furniture and decor in this space has been crafted, gifted or thrifted ~ and then refinished and repurposed.

There has been chalkboard walls, fabric wallpaper, skirted desks, gallery walls, childs cabinet shelving, mannequins and mood boards made.

This portion of the Studio we will call the ‘Left Wing’….where Candle Sales happen, Blog Posts are written and Zoom Gatherings are created.

The Right Wing is coming together as well and we’ll share soon.

The Gallery Walls

Before and During

and the After

and a side by side.

Gallery Walls replaced files at the window. Lighting was added. Visual Displays were created, Marketing and Storage Ideas happened….and Fabric was also added to the Walls as Wallpaper (see how-to here).

The Candle Shop Display and Wrap Desk

Before and During

And the After, Don’t you just love a good ‘After’?

and a side by side

can we just say…..oh my! mostly thrifted, gifted and repurposed.

Since I love Retail, Merchandising and Marketing, my goal was to create a ‘look’ that is identifiable for the ‘Classic Amy Joanne Candles & Such‘ displays within this space. Something to carry over to our new ‘Pop Up Shop’ and Event Spaces too.

…..and it’s all coming together.

Tiny White Cabinets, Tissue Paper and Wrappings, Mannequins, Cake Pedestals, Marketing and Labels, along with Ironstone Soapdish Business Card Holders and matching Aprons too!

And a few more Views

We skirted a few desks ~ the main desk, the wrap desk and a Candle Shop desk ~ creating much needed ‘hidden’ storage for this multi-purpose Studio.

and creating a few display pieces ~ an all vintage-parts mannequin ~ well two to be exact, a perfect wall display of mini dressers and all the candle displays as well.

Check out our ‘schoolhouse locker’ shelving unit reno (here), a 30 year story in the making, it sits behind the main desk.

with just a little sneak peek into our newest candle scent marketing ‘Stir, Sprinkle, Serve‘.

Each space perfectly coordinated ~ a labor of love.

We have a few more ideas yet too, stay tuned in.

A Gallery of Studio Images

and a Walk-Thru Video

always a work in progress, each room in Our Home, Our Studio Spaces and our soon to be Candles & Such Pop-Up Shop….would you believe the cabinets are made of discarded doors?!!!

Keep your eye on Classic Amy Joanne for upcoming Posts about Marketing & Merchandising a small Shop, Building a Brand and a few ‘how-to guides’ for Gallery Walls, Collecting Vintage, Creating Mannequins, Retail Lingo, Painting Furniture and Making Table Skirts!

hope you enjoyed the visit, you’re always welcome here.
