Well since you asked….here is how you serve up Bunny Soup!

You have probably guessed it, it is not actually soup ~ it is a delicious pudding dessert.

and as it was assembled….

I thought “this looks like Bunny Soup!”, hence the name.

It is simply homemade chocolate pudding ~ made with your favorite chocolate, I used Wilbur Chocolate (here). Then topping it with homemade Chocolate Bunnies ~ made with the same Wilbur Chocolate.

The Chocolate Bunnies were made with Wilbur melting chocolate using plastic molds ~ my intent was to package the bunnies in pretty Easter bags….but my creativity got the best of me and then decided to lay them on top of the Pudding…..and it really turned out super cute!

Below is a family favorite recipe for Chocolate Pudding, it’s a keeper!

Bunny Soup (Chocolate Pudding)

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c cornstarch
  • 4 c whipping cream
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c chocolate chips (I used 1/2 milk chocolate and 1/2 semi sweet) ~ your favorite chocolate.
  • 1 tb vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Method

  1. Combine the cornstarch and 1/2 cup of warm water, then stir until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Bring the whipping cream to a simmer in a 2 quart saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Then add in the cornstarch mixture, sugar, chocolate, vanilla and salt. Cook pudding stirring constantly until thick and creamy.
  4. Serve Warm or Cold.
For an added fun touch ~ add homemade chocolate bunnies to the top of the pudding once the pudding has cooled a bit.

don’t forget to add the homemade chocolate bunnies, tell the kids it’s ‘bunny soup‘, they will love it!

    enJOY!

I remember my mom making chocolate pudding…not the instant kind. So delicious and creamy. This recipe makes it doubly yummy with the homemade bunnies!

It looks amazing! It was a tradition in my family to make chocolate gravy for the children to go to homemade biscuits.
This is definitely a step up.
      Have a great day! 💕
