Our circumstances lead to decisions (read post here).

But after the dust settles from a hard (not chosen) decision and some time has passed to ponder and think ~ we’ll begin to dream again and find that it is quite possible that these decisions were made for good reason ~ to find possibility, to find hope and even to find new dreams on the other side of it.

Classic Amy Joanne is NOT out of business.

We simply just changed a few things, maybe, possibly, to make room for something even more wonderful….I can only imagine. It brings to mind this image (below), an image of letting go of something so wonderful and trusting there is something even more wonderful on the other side of it.

For now, but maybe not forever

we simply just made 3 small changes.

  • To Our Zoom Gatherings, which will end in February 2025 (see schedule here).
  • To Our designs/patterns, which will STILL BE offered, BUT not on a consistant schedule ~ including our much loved Keepsake Journals (still going!!!!!). (shop here).
  • And To Our Social Media presence, it will be hit-or-miss ~ but our Website, Blog, Daily Dose, Gallery and Newsletter are still here (click here for our last newsletter). ( Daily Dose here) and (Gallery here).

So ‘What’s next’ you ask?

Hoping to focus on sharing art while serving our local community, our ‘inner circle’ friends and our local keepsake journalers thru out the year and also to develop our Classic Amy Joanne Branding for our Pop Up Occassional Shops and Events.

and it goes without saying that we will still be here sharing all the joys of Art & Home thru Blogging and Instructional Patterns….with Shopping too!

~*~

Here are a few things we have been working on

Making Time To Craft ~ with stacked wool for making Country Stuffed Pears, Snowman Scarfs and Proddy Flowers. Yarn Flowers and Greenery to create an Autumn Wreath and stacks of ol’ fabric Calendars to create Christmas Stockings….and so much more.

There are Candles to Pour in the most beautifully created scents….and oh so pretty packaging to design ~ every purchase will be cared for like a gift.

We’ve been working on the next page in our ‘My Cottage Life Keepsake Journal‘ and Ornie Wreath…along with a mini journal and a Baby Bundt Box with Gift Giving ideas and recipes.

It’s all or nothing here at Classic Amy Joanne ~ ‘Farmers Market‘ will be released as a pattern in September.

We”re also working on our Branded Items for our Classic Amy Joanne Pop Up Occassional Shop and Events ~ with not only our Candles, but all kinds of Pottery to ‘warm your home and melt your heart

Like these little cuties below created for a Collection called ‘In the Meadow‘ thru our ‘My Cottage Life‘ Gift Giving Series, to be released in February.

Oh I can’t wait to glaze!

We’ve also been working on our next Keepsake Journal drawing, ‘Serving Christmas Cupcakes‘ along with a lazy susan and cupcake picks to match using Sheila Landry‘s Wood …and maybe even a baby bundt box too. making it a fun Giftable!

We’ve also started a German Zig Zag Journal for a Series of ‘Storybooks‘ ~ the first having a Thanksgiving Theme….you’re not gonna wanna miss this!

And also many wood ornie sets for our ‘My Cottage Life‘ Journal Wreaths ~ from Winter, to Fall, to Santa’s Treats, to a Summer Picnic! I’ve kept Sheila busy with ‘wood’ ideas ~ Sheila has been an important part of my business, and a good friend.

All the wood for our designs are thru Sheila, available (here), and while you’re visiting be sure to check out all of Sheila’s designs and surfaces too .

So Yes, we are still here. Our hearts and hands are not idle.

And Yes, once the dust settles and our minds are clear, we will get into a new groove, a new way of living, a new way of growing our much loved business.

and I am sure it will all ‘feel’ like home again.

Home to our dreams.

Creatively Yours,

Amy Joanne

Hi, Amy. I think that we all need to change to grow. After all – how can we improve if we just keep things the same all the time? Changes are sometimes scary. Other times exciting. Most times a little of both. But that means that we are not getting stagnant and not falling into a rut! I, for one, am so excited to see what lies ahead for you. I cherish our friendship and love working with you. Wherever your path takes you, I am thrilled to be along for the adventure. Sometimes we just need to keep ourselves focused straight ahead on our goals and filter out all the interference (no matter how well-meaning) on the way. I have faith that you will keep growing and keep us inspired with your amazing creativity. I am grateful for our friendship. <3

Thank you Sheila….keeping all the good parts.! I’m feeling already better with a few decisions made, sometimes the decisions are the ‘hang-up’ part and once they’re made a big weight is lifted and we’re able to dream again. Looking forward to the future ~ and our endevours too! Grateful for you.
