Love everything you’ve done! Looking forward to seeing all that’s ahead! You always amaze me with your creativity! I like the idea of a home Zoom gathering!
I am grateful to read your blog today–for your thoughts about today’s so-called “social media.” So much of it is “the opposite.” I feel as though I have been given permission to turn away from the scrolling. Not only permission to protect my feelings from it, but better, healthier activities to replace it with. Life-changing.
Amy, I was about to produce a newsletter article for our group members. You said it all, far better than I could. Can my friends read this article if I link it? Thank you for the difference you make.
Hi Karen! Thank you for your kind words, absolutely share! Thank you so much
That looks SO good! I just may need to try this one. Fun to be creative with food.
be crazy with me!
I agree, Amy!!! Social media has become a nightmare! FB in particular. I have been put in FB jail for comments they considered to be “ hate speech.” Their idea of hate speech and mine are entirely different. It is really sad. Was so much fun in the beginning. I hope you can find a way around it – I really enjoy your weekly posts.
I’m so missing all the friendships ~ really if it wasn’t for social media we would not have met and I am grateful for it….but sad to see it turn so ugly. Stay in touch my friend……. hugs to you.
Wow! You have poured out your soul here and given so many a lot to think about. We have so much to be thankful for but, as you say, things have changed and we small businesses are struggling. Walking and communing with God and building a relationship with Him are so important and helpful. Let’s all remember “….for God, all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26b We need to keep the faith and keep on “keepin’ on”!
Keepin’ the faith to not lose connections with our creative friends…..I’m missing that. Stay in-touch Barb, I enjoy our calls. Hugs.
Amy, I have so many things I want to say and don’t know where to start! Just wow. You have just shared so eloquently everything I’ve been thinking and feeling about social media. The comment about scrolling and seeking what you wish it could be really hit home. Thank you so much for expressing and sharing your thoughts and your journey. I will continue to follow and purchase and connect. And, selfishly, I hope to learn through you how to make a new way in today’s landscape. I agree that going old fashioned (in more ways than one) might be the best way! Hugs.
I sooooo miss everyone, all my friends, it was a fun connection to like minded friends ~ I’m still struggling with all of it, but also enjoying a new freedom away from the ‘screen’. So happy to have you as a creative friend. Keep in touch my friend. Hugs!
Good is good and He will continue to show you the direction you are to go. 🥰
Words to live by, yes, God is good. Thank you!
I love filling our home with wonderful scents too! Methinks I’m going to have to order some candles! They all sound like such yummy scents!
thank you so much Barbara!
What a cute, “sweet” idea!
would be a fun ‘friend-day’ project! With Sweets to eat!
Amy these are so cute! But not too cute to eat. 😉 Will have to try these with my grandchildren. Thank you 🤗💕
Happy Creativity! Loads of fun!
It look to be a beautiful collection!
Thank you Sheila, so much fun!
Thank you, Amy. I always look forward to seeing what you are up to. 🙂
Thank you Sheila, and back at ya!
I will have to try those baking clips. I never thought of that. Love the idea.
The one thing that would complete the picture of the living area when coming from the hallway is Jerry sitting on his chair. 🙂
absolutely, Jerry in the chair playing guitar!
Sigh…so much eye candy. Thank you for sharing YOU!
Thank you for commenting! 🙂
Oh my goodness! Now you have me wanting to redo everything in our home! It all looks so warm and homey! Love the way the orange and blue pay together. Beautiful complementary colors! Love it all!
Been having so much fun with our home make-over!
Sounds really good! We will be having our traditional Polish foods–kielbasa and sauerkraut and stuffed cabbage. Everyone else brings the rest of the fixings. Have a blessed Easter!
Blessed Easter to you and your family too!
What a sweet gift idea! Love that little chick!
Thank you Barbara….a sweetie for sure!
Beautiful colors, Amy. 🙂
thank you Sheila 🙂
What a sweet and wonderful reminiscence! The hallway in the home where I lived from the time I was 12 until I got married started where the living room and kitchen met and connected three bedrooms and one bathroom (there were four of us kids plus my parents! How did we manage with one bathroom?!). My Mom hung our school pics along one wall. I can still see it all so well. Thanks for the memories!
Memories are good to revisit, so happy to have memories…..I know right?! One Bathroom for 6 of us too! I can remember the wallpaper in our bathroom too! Oh yes, the school pictures hung proudly :). thank you for sharing!
I loved going down memory lane with you. It brought back similar fond memories for me. Thank you! We too lived in a ranch style home in the 60’s & 70’s. The end of the hall held the linen cupboards. My spring cleaning job was emptying and reorganizing the top and bottom cupboards. I remember pulling everything out and sitting in a pile of towels, sheets, table covers and doilies! The hall was long enough to play catch, chase mechanical toys or bowl down whatever items we could stack. There was a pocket door that could be closed off and used to hide behind and listen to the grown ups visit, hear television programs after bedtime, or muffle the sound of the sliding door at the opposite end of the house while sneaking out to play with neighbor kids in summer. Oh my, the memories.
Loved reading your story. Memories are a good thing to revisit…..I feel like i’m smiling each time I am living in a memory. Love your linens, doilies and such 🙂 ….gosh sitting on the good ones! Thank you for sharing!
they sure are , 🙂 thank you!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post. I was unable to view any pictures, though.
Thank you Joy, mmm, will need to check on those photos! 🙂
Lovely reading with my first cup today…grateful for it.
