Chicken Snips, Baking Clips & Spring Pics that is

Chicken Snips

My favorite Chicken Shredder from Pampered Chef; after many years of devoted service,….just wasn’t up to the task any longer ~ and as every home maker does ‘now-a days’ I searched Amazon for a quick solution until I can order a new Pampered Chef Chicken Shredder.

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a pretty pair of kitchen ‘chicken snips‘ thru all the Amazon suggestions….I mean really, ‘look at those handles’ and then it dropped into my cart for the purchase.

From my cart to my kitchen.

You can find this pretty pair of ‘chicken snips(here).

Functional and Beautiful.

Baking Clips

While Shopping Amazon I also added Baking Clips to my cart (here) ~ well, they’re not really meant for Baking, but they were so pretty and perfect for adding some kitchen charm, and matches the chicken snips as well.

I learned from Martha Stewart to place clips on the sides of a baking pan onto the ‘overhang’ of parchment paper to keep it in place while working ~ remembering to remove the clips once the pan is full before baking.

….hence the ‘baking clips‘.

and they worked perfectly for our ‘Overload Brownie‘ recipe.

Overloaded with Wilbur Chocolate (found here) ~ Wilbur Cocoa Powder, Wilbur Semi Sweet and Milk Chocolate Chips and Wilbur White Chocolate Drizzle.

…..Get the milk ready, enjoy the recipe.

Spring Pics

Adding a little spring decor to the fireplace surround ~ a favorite place to add Cottage Charm ~ each year a little different.

Keeping it simple with colors and textures. A vintage mirror from an ol’ dresser, vintage ironstone, wooden soap bowls from my Bath & Body Works days and a chunky basket with pretty flowers.

The blue platter design matched perfectly with our curtain trim, you can view on the right side of the image.

The blue kitchen hutch has just a little of this and a little of that ~ adding greens to all the blues ~ they always play nicely together.

It is always a favorite view of mine to walk from our bedroom-hallway into our living space ~ the dining area, kitchen and living room all connect, although separate, a perfect view.

Our Winter project has been to work on each of these areas to add some ‘cottage charm‘ ~ no particular style but our own ~ with denim blues, dark hardwoods, black iron hooks, ironstone dishes, and lots of white ~ this year adding some color to compliment the blue ~ with Green!

Adding a green pantry cupboard with a creative inside, a green bowl with a story, also painting green canister lids ~ along with adding chalkboards, slate tile, braided rugs, new curtains….with more to come!

I’m even thinking of making my own ‘Lettuce Green Platters’ for serving ~ in the Pottery Classes I have been taking.

Yes Mom, it’s all or nothing Amy.

When changing up your decor this Spring ~ keep it You.

As Doctor Suess says, ‘there is no one you’er than you!

Imagine the Possibilities, and have fun with it!
