Well, that’s a funny thing for a candle maker to say.

But I have found a way to get more life out of a candle.
(well it probably already existed ‘as a thing’, but read on….)

By melting them…. using a mug warmer! ~ (purchase similar here). Of course it is perfect for warming up your favorite cocoa or coffee, but it also is perfect to warm up your favorite wax melts, tarts and even a candle in a jar. Simply just place a ‘heat-proof’ dish with tarts or your glass jar candle onto the warming plate and enjoy!
The wick in your glass jar candle will float around ~ just an fyi. But you can continue to re-melt the wax many times and the scent will last a long-long-long time. You can even place the wick thru a clothespin (as shown above) to stay centered and then continue to use as a candle (burn) as well. Pretty neat!
Want to know how to make your wax melts and tarts ‘on a warmer’ look extra cozy?

Simply by placing them into a vintage ‘restaurant ware’ mug ~ you will not only have a beautiful scent but your kitchen counter will look extra cozy too.
In our ‘My Cottage Life Shop’ here at Classic Amy Joanne, we have created a few cozy gift sets with our gingerbread shaped melts placed into a cozy mug or a sweet ruffled edge bowl. Our gingerbread melts not only looked cozy but smell just as amazing!
Always all things to warm your home and melt your heart.

Vintage mugs can be used for many things, such as a sugar or flour scoop tucked into a glass jar, or to serve bunny soup (recipe here), and of course for serving your favorite cocoa too. I’ve been enjoying Cocoa from ‘My Gurl & Me‘ ~ along with adding a sprinkle of Gingerbread Rimming Sugar to the rim of the mug (dampen surface with cocoa first as shown) and also adding a dash into the cocoa (purchased here).
Perfect for serving your guests on a cold evening, it will warm their heart….and toes!

Grab your favorite scented melts or tarts, a vintage mug or cute ruffled bowl and a warmer and create your own cozy corner to warm your home and melt your heart.
Creatively Yours, Amy
