This post begins a series ~ a series about becoming a Shopkeeper, from creating a Brand, to designing a Shop all with a coordinated signature style. We’re sharing (in no particular order)~ our plans, our process, our creative ideas and all the pretty stuff too …. even if there is no purpose, or intention or expectation to grow big or even ‘be known’ at all. There is contentment found in simply just ‘enjoying’ the process, just like a child plays make-believe…….even if it is all just for fun.

Today, to begin our new Series~ we’re sharing the story about our
‘Heart Warmers‘
~ a designed product with a cute name in pretty packaging, perfect for gift giving….and how it all came to be.
Our ‘Heart Warmers‘ are artfully created scented wax melting tarts, packaged extra pretty….with gift giving in mind.
If only my hands moved as fast as the ideas coming in.
Each ‘Heart Warmer melting tart’ is uniquely designed and coordinated alongside their matching candle ~ they are poured, molded, scented, dyed and hand painted with added details including glitters ribbons, papers and more. Having a unique style all our own, as Classic Amy Joanne.
There are a million candle makers and a million melting tarts ~ We just want ‘ours’ to be….well, ‘ours’!
‘Heart Warmer‘ seemed like a perfect name for these designed melting tarts. Each being artfully and ‘heartfully‘ created (….art, heart and tart are interchangeable too!) and each are ‘warmed‘ (on a warmer)….to release a beautiful scent. Hence the name ‘Heart Warmer‘.
Our business tagline is ‘Warm your Home, Melt your Heart‘ ~ making ‘Heart Warmer‘ a fitting name.
Each and every detail for our ‘Heart Warmers’ has been hand selected and coordinated with our ‘look‘ in mind. We began with sourcing a scalloped edged ‘warming’ bowl to hold our designed melting tarts, the ‘look’ will then remain consistent using the same bowl for each ~ knowing that ‘being consistent’ helps to create a recognizable brand, ~ and the bowl itself feels like vintage ironstone, perfectly fitting into our vintage vibe…and who can resist a scalloped edge?
We offer charming packaging for our ‘Heart Warmers‘ too! ~ a clear gift box with beautiful coordinated ribbons for each (Easter Wrappings shown below). We’ve been loving pretty velvets, gingham and ric-rac at the moment.
We also have warmer plates available in white or black (shown in photo). Did you know you can place a candle on the warming plate too?
…and with every purchase we tuck a ‘how-to‘ info post card into your bag. This year we will be updating the card to read ‘do not overfill‘ the warmer bowl ~ since many of our new ‘Heart Warmers’ come with several scented ‘tarts’ and a bowl full of fragrance too!
For instance in our 2026 Easter ‘Heart Warmer‘ ~ Chocolate fills the bowl and the remaining ‘tarts’ on top are Coconut Creme, Chocolate Bunny and Marshmallow Peep for future melts! Using all the ‘tarts’ would definitely overfill the bowl!
of course, prior to melting ~ we recommend removing the papers, ribbons and such ~ anything extra.
We also have Fire Starters ~ which are simply ‘Heart Warmers’ with a cotton wick. The wick can be ‘lit’ and tossed into a fire or the wick can be ‘cut off’ and the ‘tart’ can be placed into a warmer bowl and then onto a warmer plate, just like our ‘Heart Warmers’. The Fire Starters also include natural elements such as berries, twigs, boxwoods, pinecones, orange peels and the like ~ that can be melted as well. Each are scented with ‘Cottage Christmas‘ ~ a favorite scent for sure.
Each tart is simply just melted to enjoy the fragrance ~ the fragrance will last for many, many hours and can be re-melted several times before you’re ready for your next ‘Heart Warmer‘!
From the idea and concept, to creating and making, to the product name, to the finishing touches, to the packaging ~ it has been exciting to create merchandise for ‘our brand‘, Classic Amy Joanne.…’Heart Warmers’ are certainly a perfect fit ~ and will melt your heart too.
