It happens each and every time a client asks for custom work ~ my knees knock.
It really is not my lack of confidence in my ability, but in confidence I will give them everything they expect it to be. Most times it is hard to know what they’re picturing in their mind compared to what you are picturing in yours while staring at their blank canvas.
In my usual Amy style I replied ‘why, yes Beth, I would love toocreate a custom piece foryou‘….gulp, knocking knees. My Client and Friend Beth shared a few idea images of what she was ‘picturing’ for her Chalk Board and it was ‘gulp and double gulp‘….a floral type image.
oh boy you know me and florals ~ self pep talk ‘you can do this Amy‘.
The easy part was, it was requested in the relaxed style of my much loved ‘Classic Chalk Art‘ and Beth already had the surface ready to go…..a handmade chalkboard!
The designing began….and to my surprise I fell in love with creating this piece. The work made up quickly and was enjoyable.
mmmm, maybe I do like floral designs after-all!

Below are a few created florals in Classic Chalk Art style. All are available as pattern packets for you to create (here).
Beth arrived a few days later to pick up her custom piece, my knees were knocking again ~ ‘oh my gosh, was she going to love it?’
And she did!
Her words were ‘Oh Amy! Its just what I wanted without knowing I wanted it, Just beautiful’!
I loved that.
Thank you Beth.
Being so smitten with the design, I would like to gift it to you this Christmas Season as a Pattern Packet to create your very own ‘Winter Garden~ Merry Christmas’ Classic Chalk Art.
