Classic Amy Joanne …where life is about using the good dishes for the ordinary everyday dinners.

At Home
We’re still dreaming of a new front porch beyond just a stoop ~ we have the plans drawn up and the ideas beyond that…but we are in the waiting, waiting as time and money allows.
In the meantime we will make things pretty with our Country Ducks (here), Planters and Such.
Our new front porch will have offset steps, a trellis on the left, and a scalloped edge roofline, with a bench seat.

We’re also ‘working’ on our Kitchen, little by little. Slow progress is better than no progress and it makes for better decision making to ‘wait-it-out’.
We’re making small changes to our decor while thinking thru bigger decisions. We most recently created a cafe curtain from a vintage handmade pillow case, we added a creamer collection to the window ledge, we played with vintage finds on a kitchen nook shelf and added a trio of chickens to the wall.

The Biz
We’ve been making some big decisions here at Classic Amy Joanne, and we’re pretty excited about a few new things.
Bottom Line is ~ our business is all about ‘spreading the Joy of Creativity‘ and that is what we’re going to continue to do ~ thru even more in-person Gatherings in our Community, thru Zoom Gatherings, thru Blogging, and even thru our Candles & Home Goods.
Chicken Americana will be available in July ~ delivered in a whole-new-way locally and across the wires.
If you missed it ~ the ‘PB & J’ Paint & Pencil Projects are available as a self guided pattern and Zoom Gathering too (blog post found here).
Have you seen the new ‘Gift to Uplift‘ thru our Newsletter? (info here).
Be sure to check out our craft wreath made of fabric flowers (found here).
… and also enjoy this Classic Chalk Art (Marigold pattern found here).

In The Studio
Our Studio Spaces are ever evolving, ever changing and ever growing. Our 1300 square foot home, holds our Home, a Studio office, a Studio with seating for 8, a Candle Making Studio and soon to be a Retail Shop!
Gee-Wilekers!
We are often asked how we do it, or how we manage to fit it all in???…..welp, we’re constantly organizing and cleaning and scheduling ~ must-do’s that top the lists (cleaning tips here).
Along with owning the biz ~ we are also the Janitor (gotta make sure the toilets are clean and soap dispenser filled before each class), Accountant (crunching numbers to make it all work), Head Chef (recipe tester), Photographer (of all), Taxi Driver (post office, travel teaching), Packaging Department (pretty up each shipment) and Customer Service (manage messenger, calls, text, emails and comments)….also the Teacher (be prepared for class), Content Creator (create all the content for the Blog, Classes and Designs), Proof Reader (goes without saying), Marketing Manager (market each business with signage, flyers, bag tags, labels and more), Ordering Department, Buyer (so how many pencils are needed for class?), Candle Maker (the scientific mixing of fragrance to percentages of wax!), Merchandiser (oh the little cabinets are so sweet Amy!), and Office Manager (scheduling and coordinating)…..
Am I missing anything?

On Our Table
Not only do we love to cook (and eat) good food, but we also love to photograph and share our food and recipes.
It’s gotten to the point that we rarely eat the same meal twice ~ leftovers or freezer favorites are always a given on a busy nite.
We dog-ear and mark favorite ‘keepers’ in our cookbooks~ maybe someday we will revisit a few.
