Create Art & Curate Your Home

At one time I was a routine kinda girl…….and I kinda miss it.

…….. walk 2 miles everyday after work to think and pray, do the bills on Thursday evening, grocery shop on Friday evening and bake a nice dessert on Sunday after Church…..ya know, everyday routine kinda stuff.

Then ‘Classic Amy Joanne’ happened (…wink) ~ commitments and deadlines became part of my everyday,  it was a monkey wrench into my routine (along with cleaning but we won’t go down that road)………..

This week found me wrapping up 3 Artful commitments I have been working on for about 8 months, all due by April 30th and setting dates for Workshops thru-out 2017….completed, finished, scheduled, booked, done…√’d off!

So…..I am ready to get back on track with a routine…..and why not start with Sunday Dessert!  Jerry will be pleased I am sure…..

Of course, we need to start with Chocolate…..owey, gooey delicious chocolate, is there any other kind ?

This dessert is so super simple….mixed by hand with a whisk and only one bowl.  It is one of those ‘pour chocolate water over the cake thing’…and magically the chocolate ends up on the bottom after baking…..magically every time!

Let me share with you…..the basic ingredients and simple instructions for ‘Chocolate Peanut Butter Casserole’

1/2 C Flour ~ 1/4 C Sugar ~ 3/4 tsp Baking Powder ~ 1/3 C Milk ~ 1 Tb Cooking Oil ~ 1 tsp Vanilla ~ 1/4 C Peanut Butter ~ 1/3 C Semisweet Chocolate Chips ( and an extra shake from the bag..lol)

Preheat oven to 350 F.  Combine dry ingredients.  Whisk in Milk, Oil and Vanilla.  Add Peanut Butter and Chips, stir well.  Divide between 2 over safe bowls.

1/2 C Sugar ~ 1/4 C Unsweetened Cocoa Powder ~ 3/4 C Boiling Water

In same mixing bowl, add sugar and cocoa.  Gradually stir in boiling water.  Pour over mixtures in bowl.

Bake uncovered for 35 minutes.  Serve Warm or Room Temperature.

From my to your tummy…. Enjoy.

And if you like to play with your food……

add an artsy touch ~ place a cookie cutter on-top of the casserole…..sprinkle over cutter with powdered sugar and remove cutter….how pretty is that! Making things special even for the everyday……

Feelin’ good about getting back into a routine ~ organizing, cleaning, playing with creative projects, arranging my vintage finds and baking Sunday dessert!
