It is not about making choices for you, but sharing how to make your own choices.

A book filled with tips, inspiring photos and how-to’s too!

Feels Like Home‘ is Beautifully written and photographed ~ a book you will re-read over and over for inspiration and encouragement. Marian invites you in and guides you to understanding how to make all your DIY dreams approachable and do-able with your own style. It’s not about changing your home to fit into a certain ‘style’….it’s about transforming your home into ‘your very own style’.

You see….I am a long time follower of the blog ‘Miss Mustard Seed‘ by Marian Parsons.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I have learned and been encouraged by such a beautiful person. Whether it be shopping for vintage finds, styling a shelf, painting a table, making a meal or building a creative blog, brand and business.

And after reading her first book ‘Inspired You‘ ~ I just knew her next book would be nothing short of Beautiful, ‘Feels Like Home‘.

I also had the opportunity to meet Marian on two occasions. Thru Lucketts Market and in her PA Studio, so charming.

Marian also shares about building a creative business thru podcasts and thru the ‘The Creative Exponent’, along with her Blog.

Marian of ‘Miss Mustard Seed‘, I love her story.

Here are a few ways Marian has been a part of my ‘home’ life thru her Blog and Books.

Adding Fabric to Walls in Place of Wallpaper

Marian planted the seed and shared the how-to process…..the fun part then was to pick a fabric that I admired to make my home, ‘feel like my home’.

Read more about my wallpaper (here). And thru Miss Mustard Seed (here).

Painting Furniture ~ tops the list

Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint is used thru-out our home and business. Flow Blue is a favorite color!

Marian talks about painting furniture in her new book, choosing colors, favorite finishes and how-to’s.

Collecting and Displaying Vintage Finds

Learning how to collect, curate, display and enjoy vintage finds….including fun display ideas like fitting a cloche over a milk can lid, collecting what you love and not what is on trend and even how to clean vintage finds.

Learning to enjoy and use personal treasures too.

Using ‘the good stuff‘ everyday.

~*~

Creating A Creative Space

Learning along the way to create a beautiful place to work and play ~ a Studio that welcomes you into play until your hearts content….including shop keeping too!

Along with organizing and storage tips.

It could be a closet, a corner in a room, a bay in a garage or a small porch.

~*~

And Encouragement to All ‘Creatives’ in Business

Marian will inspire and encourage you thru her Book, her Blog and with each Business Endeavor ~ to create your space to be uniquely you.

Creating each room with purpose in mind.

~*~

Whether it be your Home or Studio ~ ‘Feels Like Home‘ will Encourage and Inspire.

Feels like Home‘ can be found (here). ‘Inspired You‘ can be found (here). Each book holds ideas, instruction, inspiration and encouragement.

My book pile is growing!

Last summer I made a plan to read a book a month….now you can find books on my sofa, next to the tub, by my bedside, in the car and in my purse.

Whether it be a cookbooks, magazines, books about marketing, home style or a study on Faith….I am enjoying each and every turn of the page.

Be Inspired by ‘Feels Like Home’

Enjoy!
